Land Permits to Land Holders at Kalupedigama

Arrangements have been made to issue Land Permits to Land Owners whose clear title was determined and affirmed under the Bimsawiya Expedite Operation launched in Balangoda Divisional Secretary’s Division recently.

Accordingly Land Permits are awarded to 400 persons at this ceremony held at 2.00 p.m. today at Kalupedigama.

This special programme is launched under the participation of Hon. W.D.J. Senevirathne, Minister of Public Administration and Home Affairs, Hon. Prabhath Bhanu Munipriya Sabaragamuwa Provincial Council Minister of Education, Information Technology & Cultural Affairs and the Hon. Members of Balangoda Urban Council and Balangoda Pradeshiya Sabha.

High response is received for this programme from the participants. It is revealed that the participants they who had been unable to submit a legal ownership so far to their lands believe, that this opportunity is a great strength for their future development.

This land permits awarding ceremony is considered as a New Year gift given by Mr. Champika Nirosh Dharmapala, Divisional Secretary and the staff members of the Divisional Secretariat, Balangoda for people of Kalupedigama area.
